The HART Sport State Track & Field Championships are the culmination of the track & field competition season.  The  championships will be held on Saturday, 18 & Sunday, 19 March 2023 at  SOPAC (Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre).

This document should answer any queries that you may have in relation to the  HART Sport State Track & Field Championships. Please read through this document prior to arriving at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.

Program with names/heats for each event has been finalised and is below:

Events for the HART Sport State Track & Field Championships, which show day/call room time/start time for each event and age group is below.  Athletes should have been aware of the timings before they made their selections for zone.


STATE QUALIFIERS 2023

Once all regions have been completed, the qualifiers to the HART Sport State Track & Field Championships will be posted below.  Note: The event number listed is NOT the event number in the State Championships program. The event numbers will be updated closer to the event.


JURY OF APPEAL

As per Rules of Competition, the Jury of Appeal will consist of 3 people, taken from the following:

  • Cheryl Webb (Competition Manager)
  • Carnival Manager
  • Track Referee
  • Field Referee

WELCOME

The 2022-2023 Season will be our centre’s 51st Season, we were formed in 1971 our first season was in 1971-1972, were we were originally named Mid South Coast, before we became Lake Illawarra PCYC Athletics, then Lake Illawarra Little Athletics and Now we are Lake Illawarra Athletics, we are proud to be one of the oldest centres in NSW and the first on the NSW South Coast.

Athletics is a family sport – and at our centre we encourage participations form athletes of all ages. We are able to register Little Athletes (3-17 years old) and Senior Athletes (18+) allowing all ages and abilities to compete on the same night – We’re essentially and Athletics Centre for the whole family, we endeavour to provide opportunities for athletes to compete and enjoy the fun of track and field, while making friends.

Competition Commences every Friday Night at 5.15pm, during the Months of September to March

Lake Illawarra Athletics Association Inc is based out of the Myimbarr Community Park, Wattle Road, Flinders, 20mins South of Wollongong and in the Heart of Shellharbour City, Near the Shellharbour Club (Shellharbour Workers Club)
